Frank was just here in Cleveland recently. He did a very extensive interview on the local public radio station. I learned that he is originally from Cleveland and started out with a R&B group called The Rude Boys which was produced by Gerald Levert. He was then picked up by Motown records and then shortly afterwards was picked up by Branford Maralis and then was signed to Columbia. He stated that Donny Hathaway was one of his biggest influences and that in fact he did a tribute show for Donny here at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. PT
